Labor Cabinet announces online training system

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky employers have a new tool for training related to occupational safety and health.

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet has unveiled an online training system at http://laborcabinetetrain.ky.gov . The cabinet says materials on the site are based on regulations and industry best practices.

Labor Secretary Mark Brown says employees of the Division of Education and Training are responsible for the new program and says all content is being developed in-house.

The system will also include live webinars and prerecorded on-demand training modules. More courses will become available over time.

The cabinet also plans to offer specific training curriculums that will allow users to earn a certificate of completion.
