Double-murder cold case moves forward

Updated: 11/04/2011 - Today the first steps were taken toward a trial in the 2005 double murder of Marlane Mauk and Donald Walker. The three defendants in the murders appeared before Judge Lewis Nicholls in Fleming County today. They were arrested in May near Columbus, Ohio. Sheriff Scotty Royse was a deputy at the time of the murders. He says he's glad to see the trial coming closer.

Central Kentucky woman baking up Sweet Blessings

A Central Kentucky woman decided that was unacceptable and left her job to make sure children who are less fortunate have a cake for blowing out candles. Ashley Boyd Gann started a non profit called Sweet Blessings that provides birthday cakes to less fortunate children.
