The Clark County School System has a new superintendent, with some pretty hefty credentials.
Members of the Clark County Board of Education met for more than an hour Monday night, weighing the five finalists for the job.
The board decided on Elaine Farris, a former Clark County teacher and principal who currently serves as the Acting State Education commissioner.
Farris says her number one goal is focusing on the children and their learning.
Farris succeeds Ed Musgrove, who announced his resignation in December.
