One month after a killer tornado in Madison County, people still have a long way to go before life returns to normal

The EF 3 Tornado touched down on May 8, killing two people, Glenda Charbonnel and Sean Michael Yarber, in Kirksville.

Dozens of other homes were also hit, causing millions of dollars in damage.

In the area of Kirksville, dozens of homes are still no more than piles of brick and lumber.

Many people continue to be homeless, and those who do have home are living in hotels and with families until contractors finish their houses.

Some estimate it could be months until they make a full recovery.
