Five Central Kentucky firefighters injured in wreck

BRANDENBURG, Ky. (AP) - Five central Kentucky firefighters have
been taken to a hospital after their engine turned over on the way
to a fire.
Meade County Fire District Chief Larry Naser (nay'-zer) says
firefighters from firehouses in Brandenburg and Doe Valley were on
their way Monday night to an automobile accident involving a
trapped person.
Naser says a truck from one of the district's engine companies
rolled over on Kentucky 448 near Brandenburg.
He says five firefighters ended up being flown to University of
Louisville Hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Naser didn't release the firefighters' names, and the hospital
couldn't release information about their conditions without
identities.
Naser says all five were conscious and talking when they left
the scene.
