Heavy snow is taking its time moving through the state of Kentucky. This will be a historic once its all said and done with a few spots around a foot of snow.
Showers will continue to push across central and eastern Kentucky into the overnight. These drops are on the leading edge of much warmer air moving in for the next few days.
This warm up will come with a price as showers and thunderstorms develop by Sunday. This is a fairly dynamic setup that may produce strong or severe thunderstorms. The entire state is under a slight risk for severe storms Sunday and Sunday evening. Damaging wind will be the primary player.
High winds will likely be with us much of the day into the evening. Even without thunderstorms... winds may top 40mph at times.
Colder and drier air moves in by Monday.
