Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
We are looking at one more day of rain before we can slide into a dry spell for most of the rest of the 7-day forecast. A couple showers can be expected during the morning, but the main rain threat comes during the afternoon. This will be a shower event with just a couple rumbles of thunder. We take a break from the rain on Wednesday with cooler temperatures. Highs settle in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Starting Thursday we will see much warmer temperatures in the forecast through the weekend. Highs will be in the 70s through the weekend with a few spots nearing 80° in southern KY for both Saturday and Sunday. Those two days will be dry with a rain chance during Sunday night. The only real rain chance during that stretch will be on Friday with a few showers & storms working their way into the area.
