Our winter storm continues to dump heavy snow across central and eastern Kentucky. Look for our storm to taper off from northwest to southeast through the afternoon. One foot snow totals for several. Two foot snow totals for a few.
A light mix of rain and snow will push across the region this evening. Much of this will fall with temperatures above freezing, but the ground is still frozen. That could mean a slick spot of two trying to develop later in the evening.
Much milder air floods in by Friday with temps heading toward 50 degrees. Winds will be rather gusty and this will be ahead of a cold front that swings in early Saturday. Rain will become likely and it could be heavy at times.
Temps early Saturday will be near 50, but will drop into the low and mid 40s during the afternoon.
Sunday's weather looks good with a partly sunny sky and temps from 40-45
The next system moves in for late Monday and Tuesday with the chance for rain and snow.
