A storm complex will affect our region again today. Expect scattered storms to pick up during the afternoon hours. Damaging winds, flooding and lightning are the main concerns as these storms roll through.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Light snow continues to move across central and eastern Kentucky late this evening. Snowfall amounts range from a coating to 1"-2" in some spots across central and northeastern Kentucky.
The snow will taper off in the Lexington metro over the next few hours, but will continue in the east. This is where the highest snow totals will fall into early Wednesday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of central and eastern Kentucky overnight. A Winter Storm Warning continues for far southeastern parts of the state.
Additional rounds of snow showers and squalls will be possible tomorrow as winds gust to around 30mph at times.
