Allegiant to end Lexington's only non-stop flight to Las Vegas

Posted: Fri 5:47 PM, Feb 17, 2012

Allegiant today announced it will end its scheduled service between Lexington and Las Vegas.

The carrier’s last day of service will be April 7.

The airline says customers with reservations beyond that date will be contacted directly by Allegiant for a full refund.

“We are always disappointed to stop servicing a route,” said Eric Fletcher, Allegiant Travel Co. Manager of Airports. “We apologize to any travelers who are inconvenienced by this decision and hope that Lexington travelers will still keep us top of mind for service to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa, Florida”

Allegiant began service between Lexington and Las Vegas on November 16.

The airline will continue service from Lexington to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa, Fla.
