Beneficial rains continue to fall with more on the way

Posted: Fri 11:36 AM, Jul 13, 2012

General light to moderate showers will continue to track north/northeast through the Bluegrass and most of our northern counties (exception may be the place near I-71) through mid-afternoon. Other areas not dealing with the showers may get see some thunderstorms brew as the afternoon progresses . Any shower or storm that develops has the possibility to drop heavy rain this afternoon and evening before dissipating after sunset. Spotty showers possible overnight with another round of pop-up afternoon/early evening showers and storms Saturday and Sunday. Highs in the 70s (where it's raining now) to the 80s (areas south and far west).
Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 80s this weekend.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the rain.
