BATH COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say three people were injured, one critically, in a crash on Interstate 64 Wednesday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police say the crash happened just before 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes at mile marker 124.
Police say a 2012 Subaru, driven by 51-year-old Darinda Marriner of Morehead, rear ended a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, driven by 45-year-old Michelle Walters, of Ashland.
Police say Walters was in a standstill in traffic because of an earlier accident.
Police say Marriner's Subaru was then struck in the rear by a 2003 Mercedes driven by 20-year-old Sarah Caudill, of Owingsville.
Police say Marriner was airlifted to UK Hospital, where she was last listed in critical condition.
Police say Walters was treated at the scene for some injuries, and Caudill was treated and released from a hospital in Morehead.
