General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
We are going into a much quieter pattern this weekend with our weather. Starting today we can expect much better weather, but it will be noticeably cooler. Our highs this afternoon settle in the mid 50s. That is below average, but at least we have sunshine throughout the day. The dry weather continues for your Sunday with mostly sunny skies. We will be warmer, though, with our highs settling in the 60s.
We better enjoy this weekend because our start of the work week appears to have a soggy start. A low pressure system slides up from the south. This will bring us some heavy rain. Much cooler air filters in behind this system. We can expect some chilly showers to be over our heads on Tuesday.
Have a good weekend!
