Family searching for stolen seven-foot-tall Tigger

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Halloween tradition may not happen this year for a Lexington family after they discovered their seven-foot-tall inflatable Tigger decoration disappeared overnight.

The "vampire" Tigger has been a fixture of the Brozik family's Halloween decorations on Pepperhill Road for ten years. Every year their daughters took a picture with the decoration in their costumes.

Friday morning they woke to find the clearing in the leaves where the inflatable sat empty.

"At least they treated it well," said Chad Brozik. "Looks like they unplugged it, took it up out of the ground, didn't tear it or destroy it. I guess that's good for Tigger if he's out there."

Whoever took him took their time, unplugging the decoration and removing the stakes holding him to the ground, leaving behind no trace of Winnie the Pooh's friend.

Brozik says his wife told him their daughters were crying on the way to school. He says the cost to replace the inflatable doesn't bother him as much as the loss of memories that are attached.

"One of the first pictures we took of my daughter for Halloween, she was about a month old, was with the Tigger," Brozik said. "It was kind of every morning they would get up and it would be out there and I think they were pretty upset this morning when they didn't see it."

Brozik is offering a fifty dollar reward for the return of the Tigger.
