Isolated showers popping up this afternoon

NOON UPDATE:

Isolated showers in association with an upper wave will cointinue through the rest of the afternon. Some of these showers and storms may contain brief heavy rain and small hail. We'll be partly sunny in-between the spotty showers with afternoon highs in the lower 80s.
Patchy dense fog is expected tonight with warmer, drier conditions to end the week.

MORNING UPDATE:
High pressure continues to cling over the Ohio Valley with an upper level trough anchored overhead. Much like yesterday, we’ll begin with fair skies and some valley fog. While moisture remains fairly limited, isolated showers are possible this afternoon as an upper wave slides through the Ohio Valley. Since the coverage will be isolated, most places will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Patchy fog is possible again overnight with lows in the middle to upper 50s.

Subtle chances start Wednesday, as the upper trough starts to lift off to the northeast. Warmer and drier conditions arrive with highs in the middle 80s Wednesday with the upper 80s likely Thursday and Friday. Mostly sunny skies dominate through Friday until enough low-level moisture arrives by the weekend to bring back some afternoon clouds this weekend. For now, we’ll keep the weekend dry but there may be a stray afternoon shower chance if enough moisture piles up. The better bet for our next chance for precipitation will be on Monday as a cold front cross the region.

Have a pleasant Tuesday.
