Kings Island's new $24-million roller coaster makes test run

KINGS ISLAND, Ohio (WKYT) - A train on the new record-breaking Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island made its first test run.

The world's longest inverted roller coaster at 4,124 feet will send riders screaming through seven inversions at speeds up to 68 mph.

Themed to a wailing mythological messenger from the underworld with flowing white hair and gleaming eyes, the $24 million coaster will make its public debut April 18, when Kings Island opens for the 2014 season.
