Laurel store clerk pepper sprayed in robbery

LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for two men who went into Droopy's Market, said nothing, but proceeded to disable the clerk and rob from him with pepper spray.

"As soon as they got right here, I said, hey, 'what's up?'He starts spraying pepper spray on my face and eyes," said the clerk. He says two men came into his store about 9 Sunday night, just before closing.

The clerk didn't want his face on camera but his words describe his terrifying ordeal.

"Were really burning. They sprayed me a couple of times, and then for a couple of minutes they beat me up," he said.

He says they said nothing but by their actions he knew they wanted the money and he obliged. They got away with cash but the clerk says the men took away much more from him.

"I've been having nightmares; I can't sleep. That person is attacking me again and again," he said.

Police have a very limited description. The clerk says he only saw their eyes..they had on masks and camouflage clothing.
