LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- The head of a Lexington medical clinic says a release its board issued saying he embezzled money isn't true.

Abundant Living medical abruptly canceled appointments late this week.

In a statement sent to patients and posted online it says it will no longer be in business effective Monday.

It goes on to say the clinic's CEO Michael Betts embezzled money over three years time and is being investigated by the FBI.

Betts tells WKYT, "I have tried to work with the board and show them that there was no embezzling or improprieties. My attorneys will be filing motions on Monday to stop this madness."
