Trick or treat hours will find temps dropping through the 30s with gusty winds and some rain and snow filling the air. Wraparound band of snow moves in Friday night into Saturday morning across central and eastern Kentucky. That's the one that could drop some light accumulations on grassy areas and elevated surfaces.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police have a reminder for folks in Lexington an ordinance has banned most fireworks in the city.
Lexington police say they will be responding to calls about fireworks complaints this year as they have in years past. But police say it's easier for them if everyone follows the law.
"This year what we want folks to remember is from a law enforcement standpoint fireworks that go up in the air, fireworks that explode or fireworks that make loud noises that could be a serious disturbance...these fireworks have been outlawed," said Sherelle Roberts.
Police say you should call 911 only for emergencies.
They ask that all fireworks related calls be directed through their non-emergency number which is 258-3600.
