The Mall at Lexington Green is about to get an upscale makeover.
Today, the 168-thousand square foot shopping center announced its brought in national leasing team Jeffrey R. Anderson, Inc., to spearhead the overhaul.
Lexington Green opened in 1986 and is home to Joseph Beth Booksellers and Whole Foods.
"We are excited to connect with the Anderson team, given their expansive tenant relationships and success in developing Lifestyle and Mixed-Use Centers nationwide," said Doris Benson, President of the Lexington-based Langley Properties Company. "We couldn't ask for a better partner who knows our market, our region and the types of tenants we want to attract to The Mall at Lexington Green."
Work is expected to begin this spring and be completed in 2012.
Lexington Green plans to evolve into a more upscale, lifestyle oriented shopping center with more outdoor fountains, benches, and landscaping.

Developers hope the makeover will also attract new retailers. Also included is renovation of the roof, signage, building exterior and parking lot.
