It's that time of year when folks decorate their homes inside and out for the holidays.

One Lexington home became the target of thieves who stole the decorations right out of the front yard. The thieves almost ruined Christmas for one little girl but a neighbor saved the day!

"He came over and asked the description of what was stolen and I told him" explains Jeff King, "this afternoon when I got home there was a new polar bear blow up waiting for Elise-- it made her day."

King says the thieves took more than just some Christmas decorations -- they took his kids sense of safety. "They were afraid that the thieves were going to come back and steal the other decorations so we decided to take everything down." He says it wasn't until his neighbor, Tom Coon, brought over a surprise gift that his kids got back into the Christmas spirit.
