A First Alert Severe Weather Day starts at noon and runs until further notice. Rounds of storms increase today and carry us through the night. Heavy rains will be likely and that may cause additional flooding problems.
Happy New Year! We have a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain moving in across the region later this evening and overnight.
Areas along and north of Interstate 64 will see mostly snow and a light mix. Snow accumulations may be around an inch or two for many areas. This could create some slick travel as temps will be near the freezing mark.
Areas south of Interstate 64 will see a mix of snow, sleet and rain. This is a part of the state that will see a better chance of snow coming late New Year's Day and night as colder air moves in.
