A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- Folks in Lexington braved the rain downtown Saturday to party at the Pride Festival.
The festival featured many performers and presentations, including performances by Mr. and Miss Lexington Pride.
Mayor Jim Gray made an appearance at the opening presentation.
The Lexington Ballet and the Louisville Gay Men's Chorus were also in attendance.
Many who were there said the goal of the festival was to promote the general well-being in the city of Lexington.
"I think it's really important to appreciate and acknowledge ways of living different life styles and things like that, because that's what makes America great," said one Pride Festival attendee.
