LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police tell us a man who allegedly robbed a Lexington restaurant at knife point has now been taken into custody, and charged.

It happened at the Subway at North Locust Hill Drive on Saturday around 3:00 p.m.

Police say 52 year old Arnold Perkins has been charged with two counts of 1st degree Robbery after escaping with hundreds of dollars from the Subway.

Police say this is the same man who robbed the Liquor Barn on Richmond Road, also at knife point on Thursday. Police say they had a vehicle description and license plate number--that helped them catch Perkins today.

"I came out and I saw him, and I was like, I think he just robbed this place," said bystander Zachary Brown. "It was one of the biggest butcher knives you can get."

Police say they stopped the Perkins on Liberty and New Circle about 15 minutes after he left Subway.

Police also say, the clerk working hurt herself while trying to get away from Perkins, but was not seriously injured.
