11:00 UPDATE:

A 27 First Alert Severe Weather Day has been issued for the Bluegrass, I-64 corridor northward, and areas southwest of the Bluegrass to include areas in and around Campbellsville northwest. The following counties are included in the severe weather threat: Adair, Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Casey, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Green, Hardin, Harrison, Hart, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Larue, Lincoln, Madison, Marion, Meade, Mercer, Metcalfe, Nelson, Nicholas, Oldham, Russell, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, Taylor, Trimble, Washington, and Woodford. Strong to potentially severe storms are expected to develop over Indiana and Illinois early this afternoon. While conditions here in Kentucky are more stable than yesterday's severe weather outbreak, these the strong to severe storms brewing northwest of the Ohio River are expected to remain strong as the trek into the northern parts of Kentucky. The main concern will the development of one, possibly two squall lines containing damaging winds, isolated large hail, and heavy rainfall. The key times will be between 3-8pm. Note that areas south of these counties are not included in the 27 First Alert Severe Weather Day (this include the cities of Somerset, Jackson, Prestonsburg, Liberty, Paintsville). While the main threat will be to the north of these areas, be wary during the afternoon and evening hours as conditions could change rapidly and South-Central and Southeastern Kentucky could also fall in the severe weather threat.
