A new Tornado Watch has been issued. This watch is set to expire at 4am.
The actual front itself will be pressing storms through the Lexington area by 9:30. This will take the severe weather chances off the table for central Kentucky.
Those storms will drive into Southern and Eastern Kentucky into the nighttime hours. The threat will continue for those areas.
Some of the stronger storms could produce winds up to 60 mph. Quarter sized hail, and an isolated chance of a tornado.
In addition to the severe weather threat, torrential rainfall may produce flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch is out for parts of central and eastern Kentucky through tonight.
