Rain and a mix continues to work into eastern Kentucky as temps drop into the 30S. The next round of mix and snow slides in late this evening into tonight from the northwest.
Finally we are putting on the brakes with this winter weather! After only reaching the low 40s yesterday afternoon we will see our temperatures increase big time today from these gusty winds of 20-30 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. These will be from out of the south, which pumps in some much nicer air this afternoon landing us around the 60° mark. There is a VERY slight chance of a stray shower during day, but about 90% of us stay dry.
The rain moves in tonight and continues into Friday. The majority of the rain will be Thursday night and Friday morning. Only an isolated chance during Friday afternoon. This will mainly be a shower event, but a rumble of thunder could be heard although NOT expecting any severe weather.
Another area of low pressure slides across the region on Saturday giving us more rain to work with during the day. If you have any events going on just try to have a back up plan just in case. Our temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s during much of next week with no cold air in sight.
