The cold front has now crossed the Ohio River into Kentucky. This will work into central Ky over the next few hours. Temps will drop quickly behind this front with wind gusts hitting 35mph at times. Showers will mix with and change to snow later this evening.
*Today is a First Alert Severe Weather Day for the possibility of severe storms*
Unfortunately we have some spooky weather for the little ones on this Halloween. Showers and storms will be seen during the morning hours for some, but the main action comes during the afternoon and into the evening hours. Our main threats for today will be damaging winds and heavy rain.
- Heavy rainfall of 1″-2″ will be possible for most.
-If we didn't have any storms today we would still see some very gusty winds at 30-50 mph gusts possible. With storms we could see gusts even higher than that.
-With the severe weather expected we are mainly looking at a heavy rain/damaging winds, but still can't rule out an isolated spin-up tornado for the central and western zones.
-For timing, we are looking at the I-75 corridor and westbound during the afternoon hours. Eastern zones can expect the main action during the evening and nighttime hours. Before the main action you can still expect showers and few storms.
