Seasonal highs in the middle 80s are expected today as high pressure slides through the northern Ohio Valley. It might be a good day to take advantage of the relatively pleasant conditions because some big changes could be coming our way by the upcoming Labor Day Weekend. It will be clear and comfortable night areas of valley fog late. Lows dip to the upper 50s to lower 60s. High pressure holds on Thursday but it will be a hotter day with highs around 90. After that, all eyes will be on the remnants of Hurricane Isaac.
Hurricane Isaac has made a second landfall in Louisiana early this morning. It is inching west/northwest at 8mph with 80mph sustained winds around the eye. The hurricane will make slow progress through Louisiana and Arkansas over the next 48 hours before it speeds up a bit more by late Friday. The track could bring the remnant low to Missouri/Illinois Saturday to anywhere from Michigan to Kentucky by Sunday/Monday. The first batch of scattered showers/storm could arrive as soon as Friday with more widespread bouts of heavy rainfall Saturday through Labor Day. There continues to be a lot of uncertainty with the extended forecast but you may want to start preparing for a wet holiday weekend.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
