Some areas have picked up better than a foot of snow. We still have several more inches possible through the afternoon.
We have a big time warm up on the way as we head into the weekend. That may come with a hefty price as I'm tracking the potential for severe storms and high winds for Sunday.
A potent storm system across the plains states will work toward the Great Lakes on Sunday. This will drag a cold front across the region late in the day into the evening hours. Strong and severe thunderstorms will be possible ahead of this boundary.
With or without thunderstorms... high winds will be a big player. Gusts of more than 40mph will be possible during this time.
Much colder air then swings into the region by early next week.
