Warming up just to knock it all down during late week

Typically this time of year we are in the upper 40s during the afternoon hours, but we have been nowhere near that the past couple of days. That doesn't look to change the next couple of days. Our highs today will be slightly warmer than yesterday, so we finish in the upper 50s to lower 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Talk about a nice feeling day...highs tomorrow settle in the mid 60s with only a couple showers expected.

Thursday is when things turn due to several systems working their way toward us. The first significant part of this weather maker will be the flooding potential. 2"-4" of rain is expected from Thursday through early Saturday morning. The next part of this will be snow/ice situation. It appears that we will have a better chance at snow than ice for Friday night and into Saturday morning. How much is something that will have to be ironed out in the coming days. The best chance for either will be for the north and western zones.

We take a break on Saturday during the daylight hours, but push showers and another wintry mix into the region during Saturday night and into Sunday. This one appear to be the better chance for ice.
