Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region. Flash flooding is the main threat tonight into Wednesday.
I hope everyone had a good weekend! Starting off the work week nice and dry. However, it will be chilly. Colder air has settled in place in which we are expecting highs to be in the mid to upper 40s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. A relatively weak system slides in here tonight, which will throw off some light snow across the area into Tuesday. The first flakes in the northern zones fall before midnight tonight and these snow showers slowly work their way southbound during the day Tuesday. Most of us will be at a coating-1" with the higher amounts in that range in northern and eastern KY. This isn't a major event, but could cause minor issues on Tuesday.
Temperatures will recover quickly as we head into Thursday, but rain is on the way. Showers will increase Thursday night into Friday. We could also hear a few rumbles of thunder out of these. Finally we are looking at a weekend that will for the most part be dry. Highs during the weekend in the 50s and 60s under mostly sunny skies.
