While the candidates make their pitches for votes, many say they are still deciding on who to vote for based on how they handle the issues.
If you've turned on the TV lately, you've probably seen plenty of campaign ads for Bruce Lunsford and Mitch McConnell.
“A whole lot of it stinks but, it's politics time and this that and the other and it will all work out,” says Ray Pratt. He says despite the mudslinging, he's already made up his mind on who to vote for. “Oh yeah, I like him, McConnell. He's a good guy, if I vote that'd be the one I vote for.”
However, others aren't as confident.
“They all tell you what you want to hear and when they get in office they never fulfill their promises to you,” says Patrick Johnson
“I would just want to know what they were going to do to help people, normal people like us that don't really make a lot of money,” says Sarah Collins. She says she hasn't decided on a candidate yet but she knows she wants someone who can make a difference when it comes to the economy and cost of living. “We have two children right now and it's hard for us working one job, my husband working, I’m not working with the kids and it's hard for us to afford simple things.”
The list goes on for others.
“I would like to see better health care for the elderly. We really need better health care for them,” says one local voter. Another voter explains, ”The gas prices, I have a big concern over those.”
