Daniel DeLeon carried 42 times for 300 yards and three touchdowns as Metcalfe County (2-1) beat back the challenge of Logan County 24-13 on Friday.
DeLeon's 300 yards on the ground accounted for all but 17 yards of the Hornets' offense - quarterback Zach Morgan finished 2-of-6 passing for 13 yards and one score.
Next week, the Hornets visit Edmonson County while the Cougars (0-3) visit Todd County Central
