Jason Byrd rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns and Jessie Stivers finished 14-of-32 passing for 189 yards as Butler County (4-0, 2-0 Class AAA District 2) stayed undefeated with a 42-18 win over visiting Hart County.
The Raiders (3-1, 0-1) had a solid offensive effort, led by 283 passing yards from quarterback Austin Green. But it wasn't enough to beat back Butler County's quest for its first 4-0 start since 2004, when the Bears won their first five games.
Next week, Butler County visits Russellville while Hart County visits Edmonson County in another district tilt.
