Allen County-Scottsville grabbed a commanding advantage in Class AAA District 2 with wins the last two weeks over Franklin-Simpson and Warren East, but the Patriots couldn't sustain the momentum out of the district.

The Patriots (3-2) wrapped the first half of their season with a 37-14 loss to visiting Westmoreland, Tenn.

Cory Cooper led the Allen County-Scottsville effort with 101 yards and a touchdown on 8-of-17 passing, but the Patriots could only muster 83 rushing yards in the loss.

The Patriots are off next week before visiting Logan County Oct. 10th.
