It took 47 minutes, 42 seconds for Greenwood to seal a win over North Hardin Friday night, but win the Gators did - and they remained perfect within Class 6A District 2 in the process.

Logan Pemberton connected with Connor Raymer on a 23-yard touchdown pass with 18 seconds left to give the Gators (3-2, 2-0 Class 6A District 2) a 24-20 win over the visiting Trojans.

Pemberton had a night to remember, finishing 15-of-28 passing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while running for another score. University of Kentucky commitment LaRod King led the Trojans (2-3, 1-1) with 307 yards and one touchdown on 25-of-40 passing while rushing for another tally.

All three of North Hardin's losses this season have come against competition from Warren County - the Trojans previously fell at Warren Central and at home against Bowling Green.

With the victory, the Gators are one district win away from clinching the District 2 regular season title. After next week's trip to undefeated Monroe County, Greenwood plays host to district foe Nelson County Oct. 10th.

CORRECTION: The on-air version and the original online version of this story ran with the erroneous report that Greenwood's win clinched a regular-season district title. In the above version of the story, it was correctly noted that the Gators cannot guarantee themselves a first place regular-season finish until at least Oct. 10th.
