The Sapphire Coal Student-Athlete of the Night is Letcher Central's Charlie Banks.
We all know that Banks dominates on the football field, but he also dominates in the classroom where he maintains a 4.1 GPA which is 8th in the school. He also has a 29 ACT score. Not only is Banks an exceptional football player, he's also a standout basketball player. He is a member of the Student Advisory Council and played Ebenezoor Scrooge in last year's drama club production of "A Christmas Carol".
