Bell County kicker Monte Merrick kicked his way into the record books this past weekend.

Bell County kicker Monte Merrick kicked his way into the record books this past weekend.
The Senior was a perfect 8-8 on extra points, giving him 205 for his career. That moved him past Karl Heinz Williams of Trinity for the most point afters converted in a career. The old mark was 201.
Merrick's perfomance also moved him into the Top 10 nationally for points scored by a kicker in their career.
