"There's no place like home." The words spoken by Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz could just as easily be applied to the Shelby Valley Wildcats.
Shelby Valley played up to their potential on Tuesday, whipping up on Pike Central 103-56. The win improved the Wildcats home winning streak to 50. That is currently the longest home winning streak in the Commonwealth. Their last home loss came to Lexington Catholic on February 24th, 2004.
But Jason Booher and the Wildcats have a long way to go before they reach the record for most consecutive home wins in the state of Kentucky. That belongs to Clay County with 119 wins from 1984-1993.
Shelby Valley's next home game is on February 3rd against Johnson Central.
