Leslie Eagle took her place in Morgan County basketball history last Friday at Veterans Memorial Gym. The Lady Cougar senior scored 27 points to break the school's all-time scoring record (boys or girls) as the Lady Cougars topped Pike County Central, 59 - 58.

Eagle eclipsed the mark previously held by Leigh Ann Kelly-Wireman (1,881 points) with a free throw in the fourth quarter. It was one of seven points scored by Eagle in the period as the Lady Cougars held off a furious rally by Pike Central to earn the one-point win. Eagle converted nine field goals and as many free-throws to give her 1,8886 points for her career.
