As expected, a trio of Central Kentucky athletes have signed their national Letters-of-Intent with the University of Kentucky.

Henry Clay center Sam Simpson, regarded as one of the best in the country, signed his paperwork at a Lexington restaurant. Simpson’s father, also named Sam, played at UK. The younger Simpson says took the time to make sure the Cats were the right fit for him. Simpson says the he thinks the Cats can win an SEC championship.

Also signing with the Wildcats were offensive tackle Larry Warford from Madison Central and Boyle Co. tight end Jordan Aumiller.

Warford, cousin of current Wildcat Paul Warford, says the Wildcats are a team on the rise and is excited to join the program.

Aumiller says he will grayshirt his first year at UK. Aumiller suffered a shoulder injury during his senior season and wants to rehab the injury.
