Over in Belfry, the Pond Creek Nation is preparing for their game versus #10 Prestonsburg in the Appalachian Wireless game of the week. Coach Philip Haywood's approach to the Blackcats is the same as every team, a process of preparation for post-season play.

"We've had to replace quite a few bodies in different spots on offense and defense and it's obvious where they were. So, it's just one day at a time. One week at a time. And we're pleased we've been able to win a couple games in the process. That doesn't always happen," says Haywood.

"We told our kids the other day that whether we won two or lost two or split it doesn't matter at this time of the year. The fact is are we getting better each week and I do feel like we've made progress each week and I hope that we can improve this week going into this game."
