Casey Co. advances in Girls' Sweet 16
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Megan Pittman had 13 points and 12 rebounds as Casey County beat Simon Kenton in the quarterfinals of the Kentucky girls' Sweet 16 state basketball tournament Friday. The Lady Rebels (29-3) will play Iroquois, a 46-37 quarterfinal winner over Montgomery County earlier Friday, in Saturday's semifinals.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Megan Pittman had 13 points and 12
rebounds as Casey County beat Simon Kenton in the quarterfinals of
the Kentucky girls' Sweet 16 state basketball tournament Friday.
The Lady Rebels (29-3) will play Iroquois, a 46-37 quarterfinal
winner over Montgomery County earlier Friday, in Saturday's
semifinals.
Trailing 14-9 after the first quarter, the Lady Pioneers (28-5)
got back into the game, thanks to Chelsea Tolliver's 16 first-half
points, for a 28-25 lead at halftime. Tolliver finished with 28
points.
But Pittman, who was held to six points and five rebounds in the
first half, had her way in the post in the second half, getting
great position in the paint for layups and rebounds.
Lauren Hatter led the Lady Rebels with 15 points, and Nicole
Coffman added 13.
