Harrison County Seeking 4th State Title
Been there, done that. That's the motto that could be used for Harrison County baseball in reference to the state tournament. And come next Thursday, the Breds will do it again when they meet Trinity at Applebees Park.

Been there, done that. That's the motto that could be used for Harrison County baseball in reference to the state tournament. And come next Thursday, the Breds will do it again when they meet Trinity at Applebees Park.

Coach Mac Whitaker and the boys punched their ticket with a 3-0 shutout of Beechwood on Tuesday. Thorobred ace Logan Dailey was lights out to earn the complete game victory. The sophomore has now allowed just one earned run (a solo 5th inning homer by Scott's Tyler Osborne in the 10th region title game) in his last 14 innings.

This is Whitaker's ninth trip to the state tournament. The legendary coach has won 19 regional titles and three of five state championship games. Harrison's 26 wins this sping pushes Whitaker's career total to a staggering 876 victories.
