Lexington Catholic's Taylor Martin pitched a two-hit shutout as the Knights beat Marshall County in the opening round of the KHSAA State Baseball Tournament.

Martin got all the run support he'd need when Frank Carter hit a two-run homer into the left field bleachers in the second inning.

The Knights will play the winner of the Harrison County/Louisville Trinity game, which was suspended late Thursday night after three innings. Play will resume Friday at noon at Applebees Park.
