In the re-match of the 54th District Championship, Allen Central defeated Betsy Layne in the Championship of the 2009 15th Region Volleyball Tournament. The Rebels topped the Bobcats in two, 2 – 0 (25 – 12 and 26 – 24) to earn their first Regional Championship. The Rebels are now 30 – 9 on the season.

Kelsey Jones, the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches’ Assoiciation 15th Region Player of the Year, was named the Most Valuable Player of the 15th Region Tournament.

Allen Central will take on the 12th Region champions, Southwestern (34 – 5) at 6:00 p.m. Friday, 30 October, at Regents Hall Northern Kentucky University.
