LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Fort Thomas-Highlands coach Dale Mueller
and Boyle County coach Larry French have named Co-Coaches Kentucky High School Football Coaches of the Year by The Associated Press.
Mueller led the Highlands to their fifth state title this year
with a win over John Hardin in the Class 5A championship on Dec. 4.
French was selected as Co-Coach of the Year for the second
straight season after leading Boyle County to a perfect 15-0 record
and its sixth state title. Five of those titles hace come this
decade.
French, who is 28-1 in two seasons, called it a "special year"
for the Rebels. Boyle County rallied from a 15-point halftime
deficit to edge Lone Oak in double-overtime in the Class 4A title
game.
