The Paintsville Tigers are preparing for the alumni bowl against Magoffin County.
The Tigers ended the season with a three game losing streak ... only scoring nine points ... giving up over 150 during that stretch ... this season ... Paintsville sits at 1-0 with a 34-12 win over Paris ... but all of that is now in the past ... as the Hornets are looking for a victory after a big loss to Leslie County...
Coach Jason Kinner - "As far as Magoffin County goes you know, mostly with us we're just going to do more of the same. We've got to work a few kinks out early in the season that everybody seems to have to do. Defensively I've been pretty happy with our progress. Hopefully it keeps coming along and I think we can do some good things this year. Magoffin's size worries me. They're big up front. They run a double-tight wishbone. They're coming at you. Our defense has to stay in their gaps. They've got to play physical football. We've got to fight pressure and we've got to get guys on the ground."
