Crime Stoppers: Robber may be responsible for several crimes

Lexington Police say a man held up two restaurant workers at gunpoint, and police think that may not be the only robbery he's responsible for.

The robber was caught on tape rushing into the Subway on Nicholasville Road, robbing the two working at gunpoint. The man wearing a black ski mask, black clothes and black bubble coat. He forced the employees to lie on the tile floor during the hold-up on November 6th. But police don't have much video of the suspect himself.

"The suspect maneuvered himself in a way to try and hide himself from the camera, so that leads us to believe he may know that location a little bit better than someone else," said Det. Reid Bowles with Lexington Police.

After getting the cash from the safe and register, the man with the gun ran out the back of the store. Police say the same man may have robbed the Red Roof Inn on Nicholasville Road a week later.

"These probably aren't the only two (robberies) this person is involved in. But they usually don't stop unless they've been caught. So he'll probably keep holding people up. It's just a matter of time," said Bowles.
